Installed on May 26, 1993
The following is automatically done by install:
atalk /mem=7k -- Version 2.0 driver, requires no interrupts, DMA #1
\laser\ashare -- to support AppleShare workstations, wants DOS 3.3 (must fool)
\laser\aprint -- printer driver
\laser\minses -- for a "network session layer" (does not find correct card now)
\laser\redir -- PC Network 1.0 "redirector" -- incorrect DOS
\laser\anet auto -- establishes environment, reads DA.DTA written by DA
for workstation name and name of printers, and other devices
So ----------- for printing just have atalk, aprint, and run anet
_______________________________________________________________________
***********************************************************************
Mysteries:
Did not know how to establish Laserwriter in startup
It is written into DA.DTA by DA
It is read by ANET with AUTO switch
Could not set Laserwriter to LPT1:
LPT1: was already assigned by DOS because detected port
So disabled parallel printer port on IDE card with jumper
Then DA would write this to DA.DTA, and then ANET would find
ATALK.COM does not require an IRQ (only DMA)
AppleTalk is 230.4 kbsec (bits not bytes)
so at 10 bits/baud it is like 23K baud, or at 8 bits/baud it is 29K baud
